Luckily these HPs have no problem heating up in record time.  I&#039;ve owned quite a few laptops over the years and this thing gets hotter quicker than any of them in the past have.

I have mixed feelings about whether or not I want the problem to pop back up.  I know I want it fixed, and sending it to them without it happening isn&#039;t going to be good.  But I want to use my laptop!</description>

		<description>If you want, I have a camping stove that I&#039;ve been wanting to get rid of. You could attach it to the bottom of the laptop to preheat it before use. It should warm up faster that way.

Interested to see how well the warranty works out for you.</description>

		<description>A quick update - I left the laptop on all night and now the video output looks normal.  So as I was suspecting, the heat is probably doing something NotGood(tm) to a cable in there.</description>
